British Taekwondo Creates a New Learning Tool to Help Develop Your Taekwondo Skills.
Can’t quite master that reverse turning kick? Ready to move onto your next pattern and keen to get practicing?
British Taekwondo has launched a new training tool on their website which is designed to compliment class training and help develop your Taekwondo skills. Training videos of basic techniques (kicks, punches, blocks, strikes and stances) and patterns (Poomsae) have been filmed and are a useful way to look at and develop techniques.
The techniques are performed by leading British Taekwondo members in their respective age categories, and the Taekwondo Masters who make up the Martial Arts Technical Team (MATT) selected and directed the techniques to be filmed and provided the script for the films.
Quest Chief Instructor Mike McKenzie provides the commentary as well as being one of the MATT members who developed the filming concept as a Sport England initiative.
The video training tool is an exciting development in British Taekwondo which, along with Club and Coach Development, will enhance and support the club training experience. The videos are on the British Taekwondo Homepage which we recommend members visit regularly as well as the Quest webpage.
